TPS3619: Does TPS3619 flow from battery to TPS3619 at VBAT pin when power supply is change from VDD to VBAT

Hello,

I would like to know if inrush current flows at VBAT pin when VDD to VBAT timing?

The customer sees VBAT voltage drops by inrush current of VBAT pin. I think VDD and VBAT are only switch so I think external circuit may do something.

But please let me confirm if TPS3619 doesn't have the component to make inrush current at VBAT pin.

    Toshihiro,

    VBAT only connects to VOUT through a 15-Ω switch when VDD falls below VIT and VBAT is greater than VDD. The VBAT supply current (I_BAT) is 100nA when VOUT = VDD or 500nA when VOUT = VBAT.

    There should not be a drop at VBAT. Please provide a scope capture of VDD, VBAT, and VOUT along with a schematic if further support is needed. If any of the information is sensitive, email me at michaeldesando@ti.com . Thanks!
