LM5008A: Please help to check is there any risk to damage diode.

Hi expert,

The attached is our design.

But the diode is damage, it is short circuit.

This issue happened at our customer's side.

    Hi,

    If the voltage on the SW node is higher than the diode voltage 100V, it may damage. So we recommend when do layout, keep the loop composed by input cap, IC SW pin and VIN pin, diode as small as possible. But I would say the damage possibility should be small, since your Vin is only 54V
