When the battery Termination current reaches the Register REG03[0-2] setting, the charging will not be turned off and charging will continue.
Is there any reason for this to happen?

Hi,
test condition :
S/W setting:
1:VPM input voltage limit :4.28
2:Input current limit:3A
3:ICHG :3008mA
4:Pre-charge current limit:256mA.
5:Termination current limit:256mA
6:Charge voltage limit:4.208V
7:Battery recharge threshold:100mV.
test measurement:
1:VBUS :5.1V
2:VBAT :4.210 ; IBAT:225mA->0.208mA->0.175mA->continue reduce .
3:System is power off.
4:VSYS :4.22V
I want to know what caused the terminal current setting to fail.
I found that maybe REG05 (bit7) is disabled, so the termination operation is invalid (I will check our software team to verify this bit.)
Is there any other possible reason?
Hi,
Referring to the d/s,
If the charger device is in DPM regulation or thermal regulation during charging, the actual charging current will be less than the programmed value. In this case, termination is temporarily disabled and the charging safety timer is counted at half the clock rate.
Thanks,
Ning.
