TPS25921A: The value of Resistor RILIM

Part Number: TPS25921A

Dear all,

I would like to ask about the value of resistor RILIM.

According datasheet, there is the following data in datasheet p.5.

I have heard from our customers that they want to set ILIM = min0.32A.

Looking at the above data, we believe that this can be done by connecting a resistor with a value between RILIM = 35.7Ω and 45.3Ω.

The ILIM value between RILIM = 35.7Ω and 45.3Ω is considered to change linearly.

Is the above recognition correct?

Best Regards,

Y.Ottey

  • Hi Ottey,

You can refer to Figure 10 and Figure 11 in the datasheet to derive the accuracy of a particular current limit setting.

  • Dear Praveen

    Thank you for your reply.

"You can refer to Figure 10 and Figure 11 in the datasheet to derive the accuracy of a particular current limit setting."

Is the min value calculated from the values in Figure 10 and Figure 11 in the data sheet about the same as the actual device spec value?

    Regards,

    Y.Ottey

  • Hi Ottey,

The accuracy of a particular current limit setting in figure 10 and 11 can be used for obtaining min and max value for a particular current limit setting but are not guaranteed by TI. These graphs are given to user a understanding on the accuracy that they can expect.

The min and max values of current limit specified in the Electrical Characteristics table at few current limit points are guaranteed by TI.

  • Hi Ottey,

Hope your query is answered. In case you do not have further questions, can we close the thread ?
