Hi ,
We are using LM2698 in our design. We are boosting 7 to 8 V to 12 V. Our circuit was working fine. Load on 12V o/p is max 100mA. Below is snap of our circuit.
While testing suddenly chip started becoming hot. We then isolated 12V o/p from load. But chip was still hot and o/p is 2.3V. We verified components for short or OPEN but all are OK. Even we replace with new chip still o/p is not more than 2.3 V and Chip starts heating up. No short is found .What could be possible cause of failure?
