Hi,
I have a question an application of this part. It is being used to switch 1.8 and 2.8 V to power some relatively low power components, < 30 mA. The input is a battery with voltage from 3-4.2 V. The switching is done with an NFET below a resistor in the feedback network.
There are two use cases where 2.8 V could be applied to Vout from an external source when we program firmware to a microcontroller. The LDO normally powers this microcontroller.
1) Vin is floating, only electrical connection is IN pin on the LDO, would be (Vout - body diode drop), Vout is set to:
1a) 1.8 V with feedback resistors
1b) " 2.8 V
2) Vin is connected to the battery, Vout is set to:
1a) 1.8 V with feedback resistors
2b) " 2.8 V
Would applying 2.8 V from an external source to the output be out of spec for any of the above cases?
