TPS5410: Preload value suggestion

Part Number: TPS5410

Hi Team,

One of my customer is using TPS5410 in their application. Vin=12V, Vout = 5V. The load conditions are 35mA and 200mA (switching between the two loads). The ripple at 35mA is very high, where as with load of 200mA the output has very less ripple. During transition from 35mA to 200mA load, the output voltage transient goes upto 4.5V before settling at 5V. During this transient, the supervisory circuit is detecting a fault, which needs to be avoided.

To reduce the ripple at light load condition, I suggested customer to add a pre-load. They are ok to add a pre-load. But are there any calculations available to define the pre-load value?  I searched some application notes, but couldn't find any equations to define the value.
