Our customer would like to know the specification for the built-in back diode of the TPS794. Specifically, how much reverse current it can handle and for how long.

Hi Carl,

Usually, it's 5% of the rated current, but since there is no current limit for the reverse current, if you expect a reverse current event, I would suggest you add the external diode for protection.
