TPS1H000-Q1: does output Short-to-GND affect time life

Hi

I plan to implement current limitor fro 50 mA  output.

because "output short to gnd" is" often" happen ,(more than 50 %)

does this TPS1H000-Q1 have OCP cycle life ? is this behavior aftect the life time.

    Hello,

    The device is characterized at 1million short circuit cycles at the internal current limit which stresses the part significantly.

    For your case where you are setting the current limit at 50mA, even during a short circuit you are not stressing the device beyond the normal operation so I would not say that short circuit would affect the lifetime of this device.
