TPS61090: We need to set under voltage lockout & adjustable threshold enable ( 2 Volts to 4 Volts ) for TPS61090

Hello sir,

We are plan to use TLV3691 comparator and TPS61090 boost regulator in one our project.

Super Capacitor is the source of power which is given to the TPS61090 Regulator as a input .The range of Super capacitor charge upto - 4.2 volts.

Our requirement is to enable the TPS61090 Regulator if Super capacitor voltage reaches to 4 Volts and disable the regulator the Super capacitor voltage below 2V.

Evey time TPS61090 Regulator should be enable once Super capacitor voltage reach to 4 Volts.

Give me the better solution to implement above concept with 2V of hystereris.

I found this reference design to configure the hysteresis of the comparator http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tidu020a/tidu020a.pdf.

for the boost converter, you can have a look at the TPS61023 for small solution size.

Hi Lakshmanan,

You need to design a 3.2V and 0.4V threshold hysteresis comparator with TLV3691, since the EN threshold of TPS61090 is changed with VBAT.

If you prefer fixed EN threshold, I can recommend you other ICs. Please tell me your application and spec so I can help you.

Besides, do you need to use the internal comparator of TPS61090? Thanks.
