TPS54332: Asking for the TPS54332 Cboot design

Hi Team,

Customer's PCB process did not populate Cboot and mass production in the market. Would you please provide comment for the questions?

1. What is the side effect if this Cboot not populate?
2. What is the PH pin still can output 5V? however, the waveform shows there is 5.8V transient at output side.

Hi,

Cboot is necessary, the converter can't work without Cboot. Cboot is used to power the high-side FET.

why customer still can measure voltage output without Cboot?

what is the possibility to get Vout w/o Cboot?

Hi,

If there is no Cboot, the converter can't work normally. Because the high-side FET can't turn on correctly.

It is impossible to work without Cboot.
