BQ3050: Charger using BQ3050 + BQ24610

Hello everybody,

I 'm using BQ3050 for manager 3 Cells Li-ion battery. I use BQ24610 EVM as a charger for my battery.

When I connect Pack + and Pack - with BQ24610, I think battery will be charged but the battery is not in charging mode.

As I found on forum with thread : (e2e.ti.com/.../308215, how can I charge battery using BQ3050 and BQ24610 without SMbus communication?.

Check the voltage of the test points TP9 and TP12. What is their voltage?

Hi Andy,

I set voltage input BQ24610 19V, voltage charge battery 12.6V. When I connect battery use BQ3050 to BQ24610, voltage of TP9 is 12.6V, voltage of T12 is 18.75V. When I disconnect battery, voltage of battery is 11.6V. I retried 2 times and the result is still the same and it mean battery is not charging mode.

Hi Duong,

Try to connect the SYS PRES position pin to PACK–.
