LM5021-Q1: LM5021-2 with AEC qualification

Hi Team

One of my customer is currently using LM5021-1QDGKRQ1 controller  for Flyback converter. Seems it’s maximum duty cycle is 80% as per the datasheet.

But in the same datasheet, one more version (LM5021-2) specified for 50% maximum duty cycle. Not able to find the order-able part number for this version.

Please help with LM5021-2 part number with AEC qualification.

    Hello Shinu,

    Although the non-Q100 controller is available in both -1 and -2 versions, only the LM5021-1 version is currently qualified to the AEC-Q100 standard.

    Since -Q100 qualification of any device involves considerable investment of time and resources, a convincing business case must be made to justify pursuit of such qualification.  Please contact the LM5021 business unit manager for further information if you believe there is sufficient customer demand for a -2Q1 version.

    Thanks for reply. This is difficult for customer now to change the design, the part LM5021-2 and it features are explained well in LM5021-Q1 datasheet. Considering this the entire design is done and pcb's are made, now customer want's to order samples.

    Hello Shinu,

    I am sorry, but an LM5021-2 qualified to AEC-Q100 is simply not available at this time.  This matter needs to be escalated to our business unit management if further pursuit is required.  Since it cannot be addressed in this forum, I will close this thread.
