TPS62140: SHutdown current specification

Part Number: TPS62140
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62150, ,

The TPS62140 data sheet shows the shutdown current as 1.5 uA typical but 25 uA max.  Is this correct? The spec over temperature is only 4 uA max.  TPS62140A and TPS62150 are similar. I suspect this is a typo (maybe supposed to be 2.5 uA?).

See below.

  • Mark.

Probably not a typo.  I suspect that the leakage current increases at 125 C.  above the current at 85 C.  I looked at similar devices and they have the same spec.  Unfortunately the links to the char data are broken so I cannot verify, but I am 99% certaun about this.

  • Hi John,

OK, you're probably correct. I missed that the second line limited the high temp to 85C.  Figure 2 shows the shutdown current vs input voltage for different temps and does show a significant increase at 125C - not quite to 25 uA, but this plot probably shows typical and not max.
