Hi everyone,

FE0 is for voltage mode and FE1 for current mode if i want convert dc input to dc output, shold i consider both FE0 and FE1  or only FE0 i am fully confused could any one tell me please.

Thanking you.

  • Which front ends you use and how many depends on the application and the topolgy.  If you're doing a simple buck with voltage mode control, then you probably just use one.  For average current mode control, you would use one for the voltage mode, and it would then control another one by setting the current target for the current front end.  For peak current mode, you would use one front end for the voltage, and the second one, maybe FE2, in a special peak current mode.

So it depends.  Fortunately, we have the EVM codes to give you some guidance.
