TPS7A47-Q1: 25V Power Supply Schematic Review

Hi Power Management team,

I am attempting to use TPS7A47-Q1 to regulate 30V (Pins 13, 15, and 16) down to 25V using its Adjustable Operation.

Can you please review the schematic below and respond with comments of recommended changes? All capacitors are ceramic.

Hi Manuel,

The design looks good overall.

You will want to review your load current.
You will have 5V of drop across the linear regulator.
5V*Iload*thermal impedance will give you your temp rise.

The junction to ambient thermal impedance is 31.1 C/W.

Starting from 25C, and limiting the design to a 100C temp rise, you have a maximum current of (100/31.1/5V) = 643mA.
