Hi,

As per attached schematic diagram of TPS51460A data sheet, I have connected same rating components in In my hardware.

Voltage rating as per below-

I/P voltage- 48V

O/P voltage - 5V

O/P current - 1.5A

After frequency set,and set the load (around 1.5A), In output I am receiving 5 V continuously. but after some delay around 01 minute I have seen that TPS54160A is heatup (at normal atmosphere its 100 degree C).

Please support me, As 48 V input and 5V output, I have to change any component rating.

Can you confirm the converter is switching stable?

Did you solder the thermal pad underneath the TPS54160A IC? Is it connected to a large copper pour to spread the heat?

The thermal pad underneath the IC must be connected to a GND plane and that GND plane helps spread the heat.

Also be sure you use solid pour under the IC as reliefs will severely limit the thermal conductivity.

Yes switching is stable. Also I have given large thermal pads below the IC and pads are connected to GND..
