TPS84320: Pin PH shall not be connected, but is in all example designs

Part Number: TPS84320
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PMP8571

Hello everyone

According datashett, pin PH shall be connected to a small copper island under the device for thermal relief. "Do not place any external component on this pin or tie it to a pin of another function."

But in all example designes from TI, this pin is used as "SW_NODE" and is used for the clock synchronization circuit.

As example in the PMP8571 schematic: http://www.ti.com/lit/df/slvrb57a/slvrb57a.pdf

I am now a little bit confused about this. Can i use this Pin for this prupose?

Thank you

Regards

Roman
