TPS7A91: overvoltage/undervoltage protection function for Vin and Vout

Hello,

 

My customer would like to use TPS7A9101DSKR.

They are asking if this device have overvoltage/undervoltage protection function for Vin and Vout.

Could you kindly tell me the answer, please?

    Hi Hirano-san,

    For Under-voltage, the PG function can give an alert if the device is not in regulation. I am not away of any LDO's that have an over-voltage protection function. Normally if VOUT is above the target regulation voltage the pass element is disabled. 

    For over-voltage detection, a device like the TPS3710 can work.
