CSD18534Q5A: Cannot import PSpice models into ADS on SOME of TI MOSFETs

Part Number: CSD18534Q5A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CSD18543Q3A, CSD18531Q5A, CSD18533Q5A,

I CAN import the Pspice models into ADS for: CSD18531Q5A & CSD18543Q3A.

But you cannot import the Pspice models into ADS (2016 or 2019, doesn't matter) for CSD18534Q5A, CSD18533Q5A, & CSD18540Q5A. (Fails import.)

  • And even those PSpice models that imported into ADS successfully give inscrutable “parser error” when run sim.

  • Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the inquiry. I believe this is the same issue I've been working with your FAE, Dave Comisky. I have communicated with the person who created the models and he was unsure why some fail to import into ADS. As far as I know, TI does not have a license for this simulator. I thought it was simply a formatting difference but obviously that did not resolve the problem. I have a few more ideas to try and will work thru Dave to get model files to you to try. That's the best I can do since I cannot try them myself. I am going to leave this thread open but it will probably be more efficient to communicate thru regular email. You can get my contact information from Dave. I'm sure we'll get this figured out but it may take a few tries.

  • Hi Jeff,

Thanks again for choosing TI FETs. Since we are working this thru regular email, I will close out this thread.
