TPS62125: Hysteresis resistor calculations

Part Number: TPS62125

Hi,

I'm trying to implement the TPS62125 Enable Threshold and Hysteresis settings (EN and EN_hys pins). The datasheet Application section is clear about how resistors R_EN1 and R_EN2 affect the enable thresholds. However, there's very little information about how resistance at R_EN_HYS changes the hysteresis.

With a nominal VIN=12V and VOUT=5V, I chose these values:

VIN_startup = 10V
VIN_stop = 9V
R_EN1 = 1.1Mohm
R_EN2 = 147kohm
R_EN_HYS = 14.7kohm

How do I calculate the hysteresis in my design?

Thanks,
Michael

    Hi Michael,

    Given VIN_start and VIN_stop, and R_EN1, you can calculate the Ren2 and Ren_hys using the equations below:

    Given Ren1 and Ren2 and Ren_hys, you can calculate the Vin_start and Vin-stop using the equations below:

    I also attached a calculator for Ren of TPS62125 for your reference.

    Thanks.
