TPS63001: TPS63001 VINA voltage divider

Hello,

I would like to ask if the VIN and VINA input must be the same, or is there any possibility to use lower voltage from voltage divider from VIN.

My idea is to use this IC with Li-Ion, and I would like to connect it to VIN a to VINA put 2 100K resistors. So if the battery would have about 3.4V the input voltage on VINA would be 1.7V.

Is this possible? Or do I need the same voltage for VIN and VINA?

In short, no. Please take a look at this post:

VINA is a power supply pin and should not be used like that, VIN and VINA pins should have the same voltage. In principle you could use EN pin, however the voltage threshold is not precise and in practice cannot be used to detect a precise voltage level. Instead you should either:

Use an additional voltage supervisor circuit connected to EN pin.
Use a device with a precise EN threshold such as TPS6380x.

Could you please describe your application or voltage/current requirements? Maybe the TPS63802 could be a better solution.
