TPS7A8101-Q1: Recover time of over-current and over-temperature

Part Number: TPS7A8101-Q1

Hi team,

As written in the data sheet of TPS7A8101-Q1: it has over-current protection and thermal shutdown protections.

But our customer wants to know the recovery time of over-current and overheating.

For example, the thermal shutdown  is 160℃, and the recovery threshold is 140℃.

So how long can it return to normal output when the temperature is lower than  140℃ ?  Similarly, what about the recovery time of over-current protection?

Thanks.

Best regards,

Ansel Song

  • HI Ansel,

This has a similar response to your previous post: http://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management/f/196/p/878456/3250348#3250348

The difference is the threshold for turning back on is now lowered to ~140C.

    Regards,
