Does LM3565 work on LDO mode? For example, connect to a wLED only. Thanks!

    Hi jerry,

         That depends on the real situation, it works on pass mode（LDO mode） or boost mode.

         Duringoperationwhenthe outputvoltageis greaterthanVIN– 150 mV the boostconverterswitchesandmaintainsat least300 mV acrossbothcurrentsources(LED1and LED2).Thisminimumheadroomvoltageensuresthat the currentsourcesremainin regulation.Whenthe inputvoltagerisesabovethe LEDvoltage+currentsourceheadroomvoltage,the devicestopsswitchingand turnsthe PFETon continuously(passmode).In passmodethe differencebetween(VIN– ILED× RON_P) and the voltageacrossthe LEDsis droppedacrossthecurrentsources.
