TPS23754: TPS23754 5V Output Design Question

Part Number: TPS23754

Hi E2E,

We referred to http://www.ti.com/tool/PMP6672 for TPS23754 5V/5A output design.

1. Could this design supports Vout to 4V~4.5V?

2. If we would like to adjust the output voltage to 4V, which part need to modify?

  • Hello Wilson,

This design could probably support 4V, certainly 4.5V.

The components to adjust are the feedback components R27, R29 and R30. They will help bias the output.

Please see http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slva305c/slva305c.pdf feedback network section for more information on how to set R27. R29 and R30 are a resistor divider network that needs to be adjusted as well.

I will say, best practice and best performance will come from using a transformer that has the desired output voltage. Transformer vendors will typically work with you to define a new transformer for your design. However, within 1V of output voltage change typically has good enough performance.
