UCC27511A: Can I connect the inputs of two of these drivers to each other?

Part Number: UCC27511A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27525

Good morning,

I would like to connect the +IN input of a UCC27511A low side driver to the -IN input of another UCC27511A.

Is it possible without the drivers influencing each other?

The one UCC27511A will generate a non-inverting drive signal for a MOS FET and the other UCC27511A will generate an inverting drive signal for a MOS FET?

Thank you.

Stephen

  • Hello STephen,

Thanks for your interest in our drivers.

Have you considered a dual-channel driver instead like UCC27525? It has an inverting and non-inverting all in the same SOIC(8) package.

As for UCC27511A, I don't see any specific issues so long as the signal on INx on the drivers is a "logic" signal meaning the signal has short rise/fall times.

So from a driver standpoint, I don't see any particular concerns.

    Regards,
