LP2982: Is it possible to get 6V6 From a LP2982-3.3 with a Zener Diode in the Bypass ?

Hello,

I planning to use the LP2982-3.3 with a Zner in the Bypass to get a 6V6 output as per the following schematic.

Will it work ?

Are there any drawback/cautions ?

HI Jean,

The Bypass pin is the output of our bandgap reference. Adding a capacitor here reduces noise. Adding a zener would likely at leakage and may actually lower the output voltage.

I think something like the LP2980-ADJ would do a better job of properly regulating 6.6V.
