Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS7A47
Is an EVM available for the TPS7A33 device in QFN package?
It isn't helpful to have an EVM available for the TO-220 version of this part when we can't buy that device anymore.
Best regards,

Hi Jim,
One option is to order the TPS7A47 EVM but replace the LDO IC with the TPS7A33.
Remove any jumpers on connector J10 of the TPS7A47 EVM to allow the pins on the TPS7A33 to remain unconnected.
Here is a comparison of the two devices in this package.
As you can see, it is a good work around for now until we have an EVM which supports the TPS7A33 in the RGW package.
Thanks,

Hi Stephen
I will suggest that to the customer.
It looks like C1 (47uF Tantalum) will also need to be reversed in polarity for this approach to work.
Can you confirm no other changes are needed?
Thanks,
Jim B
