Hi all,
I've developed a USB port protection circuit that completely blocks the power supply when an overcurrent occurs. This circuit uses a TPS2031P which already protects the power supply alone, but in addition I use the OC output of the TPS2031P to control my blocking system. But I have a problem; when I short the output of the TPS2031P and ground, the output doesn't (almost) react, it drops a few hundredths of a Volt when it is used with its pull-up resistance, yet the circuit protects the power supply well. I first tried "on charge" (control of a transistor) then "on empty" (just by measuring with a multimeter), but nothing changes. I also tried adding an RC filter as shown in the datasheet but no difference either.
Can you help me ?
Thank you
PS: It is not a circuit that's defective because I tried with 3 different
