Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD7242
Hello,
The provided file RGC0064B.step is missing a dot marking where the Pin1 is.
Is there a reason why or was it just forgotten?
Thank you

From the product page.
I also saw this missing marking in the 3D file of the UCD7242. So probably there are some others.
Usually I generate the 3D-models with Altium's built-in Footprint wizard, but today I wanted to compare the quality of TI's vs. Altium's 3D-models.
Hi Johannes,
I will check if I can find someone to work on this issue.
Thanks
Qian
Hi Qian Chen,
But why?
When I have a PCB in 3D view with all the components in 3D the engineer needs the pin 1 information on TOP of the part.
The edge marking at the bottom is interesting for automated placing as a second verification.
When there is a Pin 1 marking on the real part, why shouldn't it be 1:1 present in the virtual one. Makes no sense to me :(
Hi Johannes,
Sorry, I don't know why there is no pin1 marking on top, but I will forward your suggestion to the team.
Thanks
Qian
