Hi

Are there any recommended low leakage ESD protection solutions for the VBat pin of the TPS3619?

We are concerned with protecting the device when a user replaces the battery.

I have been searching but, so far, I have not managed to find an application note that covers low leakage ESD protection for the battery input terminals.

    Hi Simon,

    Thank you for reaching out to the E2E forum!

    Form looking at the datasheet of the TPS3619 I can see the max voltage for the VBat pin is 5.5. Since this is the working voltage you could use the TVS0701 which has a low leakage current.

    I can't think of an application note that covers exactly ESD for battery input terminals but you can find several documents by going to this link: www.ti.com/.../technical-documents.html
