TPS62827: Output voltage discharge

Part Number: TPS62827
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62823, TPS62821

Hi All,

I would like to know the detail operation of output voltage discharge function in TPS6282x. I saw the below block diagram and description in TPS62823 datasheet. Does it means when input voltage is removed, and then shutdown current will active the NOT gate in block diagram and then output voltage will be discharged by internal constant current, right? And I also have some questions :

1. shutdown current is from input cap? if input cap = 22uF, Vin=5V so Q=CV=110uC and when IC shutdown, Q/I=t, 110uC/500nA(max shutdown current)=220sec, then output voltage discharge could continued 2200s, right?

2. When output cap = 100uF, output voltage is 3.3V, Q=CV=330uC=It, constant current = 75mA (minimum) then t = 4400sec, so it need 4400sec to discharge the output cap?

3. From point1 and point2, the discharge function isn't effective due to high output cap, right? (I understand the state the I list is the worst and critical case.)

By the way, does TPS62821/2/3/5/6/7 have P2P device from another vendor?
