UC1843A-SP: UC18433A-SP QML Supply current when shutdown

Part Number: UC1843A-SP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC1843

I would like to shutdown the UC1843 (space-grade part is what I am using) and would like to know what the supply current would be if I did that.  I would shut it down by one of the methods described in the data sheet, I believe it's by using a transistor to pull the COMP pin down to ground.

  • Hey Kenneth,

Pulling the COMP to ground effectively stops the switching, but doesn't stop the logic.

The current will likely be equivalent to the operating current in the electrical specifications.

There will be some decrease from normal operation due to stopping driving the FET, but the logic doesn't turn off.

    Thanks,

    Daniel
