TPS3421: TS pin

All,

Customer would like to tie the TS pin of the TPS3421 to ground via a 10K resistor during normal operations, however, during testing they would like to drive the TS pin to ground; speed up production testing.

The TS pin will be driven high, they will do this while one of the PBx pins is high.

Any issue with this? Is the 10K sufficient.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding correctly, you said they want to tie it to GND during normal operations and it will also be driven high?

Hi Abhinav.

There will be a 10K resistor connected between TS and ground. So in normal operation the TS pin will be pulled low.

However during test, to speed up testing, the TS pin will be driven high by an external signal, the TS pin has a test pin where the high signal can be applied. So only during test will there be a high level on the TS pin.

Getting back to this after some delay. The 10K should be sufficient and there should not be any problem with the implementation.
