TPS65132: About the way of change Vpos and Vneg to +/-6V for TPS65132

Part Number: TPS65132

Hi Team:

customer wan to use TPS65132 VGH/VGL to set  +/- 6V for some new display, we know the current chipset is default +/- 5.2V or a littler higher, if customer need to change to +/- 6V,  the internal EEPROM shall be set, but there is 1000x reprogrammable times limit,  this is not good. do we have the solution to shipping out as setting the default voltage as +/- 6V from TI side?

Thanks!

  • Hi Richard,

Customer can set the voltage of +/-6.0V in the registers and than store these new settings in the eeprom by setting WED (write EEPROM data) bit to a 1. This will store new setting of 6.0V in the eeprom and every time afterward, voltage will come up at +/-6.0V without having to write to any register.

Why is eeprom programming limit of 1000 a concern? Customer will need to progran eeprom only 1 time, correct?

    Kind Regards,

    Liaqat
