Hi,

About the device of BQ24316, I am confused about that if there is a surge, which is about 25V  peak , with a very short time, will it trigger BQ24316 to protect? I want know what is the minimum duration of the surge voltage that can trigger BQ24316 to protect? Which item is described in the datasheet?

    Hi Miles,

    The input OVP does not have a significant delay, see the BQ24316 data sheet tPD(OVP) parameter and figure 16.

    The battery does have a feature to ignore the surge, see the tDGL(BOVP) parameter.
