TPS61241: Increasing output voltage of TPS61241

Part Number: TPS61241
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS717, TINA-TI, TPS61220, TPS61099

My application is to boost a 3.3 V supply to 5V, sourcing up to ~20 mA (but typically only 0.1-1 mA). The application is highly space-constrained and highly sensitive to noise or ripple.

Given the current requirement, Webench suggested using TPS61241 for this application.

But to reduce ripple, I'd like to explore boosting to ~6 V and using an LDO (I'm looking at TPS717) postregulator to bring the voltage back down to 5.0 V.

Is there a way to increase the output voltage of the TPS61241 to about 6 V?

For example, based on the block diagram in the schematic, a resistor in series with the FB pin should do this, but there's not (as far as I see) enough information about the internal resistor values or VREF voltage to determine the correct value. Nor specs on the tolerance of the internal resistors. I could probably work out the nominal resistor value to be used from the TINA-TI models, but still would want to know the resistor tolerance so I could tune up the output voltage as needed to be sure of having adequate head-room for the post-regulator.

Thanks in advance,

Matt
