TPS560200-Q1: Could TPS560200-Q1 handle large inrush current/ voltage?

Part Number: TPS560200-Q1

Hi Team,

The customer is searching the DCDC solution for their Automotive application.

The specs is Vin=12V, output=3.3V/100mA.

There is a considerable noise which may generate inrush current/ voltage and damaged the board while the car power on.

Does TPS560200-Q1 have any function that can avoid the board be damaged? Or the customer have to adopt isolated DCDC solution?

Thanks and best regards,

Jamie

  • Hi, Jamie

I afraid the TPS560200-Q1 don't have any function for inrush current/ voltage.

When inrush current/ voltage is beyond its max ABS rating voltage, the IC would be damaged.

So i think isolated DCDC solution is safe.
