TPS65950: ADCs and DACs general questions

Hi team,

valued customer has some general questions regarding the data converters. for starters please help with the below.

ADC:

1. could we get an explanation about the prescaler and how that works for the ADC?  In other words, what does “MADC prescaler from 0 to >1.5 V” mean?  We would like to see if we can use ADCIN0 & ADCIN1 if the need arises.

DAC:

1. With regards to the DACs on the TPS65950 (Audio DACs), can any of them be used as general purpose DACs? Are there any other DACs that I am not aware of?

    Hi Kevin,

    For ADC / DAC information, there is a lot of it covered in the TRM: www.ti.com/.../swcu050

    It is much longer than the datasheet and breaks up information by functional block.

    Unfortunately I do not know if the DACs can be re-purposed. In general we do not recommend making changes to the PMICs for OMAP since support for these products is limited.
