LP87524B-Q1: Power Register Setting for TI IWR6843 & IWR1843 mmwave sensors

Part Number: LP87524B-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR1843, IWR6843

Dear TI

now we are use the default register setting for IWR6843 and IWR1843 mmwave sensors .

1  In real application we can online tuning these control register for optimization ?

2  Which setting is best for IWR6843 and IWR1843 setting ? Default ?

3  The heating issue can be optimization with tuning these registers?

  • Hello,

LP87524B device has I2C interface and using this interface, you can control some of the PMIC registers through XWR device. LP87524B datasheet I2C interface section provides more information about the possible I2C register settings.

But, by default LP87524B has optimized settings for XWR applications and in general, you do not need to adjust any device settings. LP87524B is already running in Auto mode to save power and hence I do not think that you need to adjust anything inside LP87524B to optimize the power.

Are you seeing the heating issue with the LP87524B or with IWRxx device?

    Regards,

    Murthy
