LP2988: Bypass (Pin 1) Floating

Good day!

A customer of mine is looking to use LP2988AIM-5.0/NOPB to replace LP2987AIMX-5.0/NOPB. As the pin 1 has no connection on their current design, is it OK to use LP2988 and leave its pin 1 floating?

Hi Franz,

Yes. It is OK to leave pin 1 floating. You will only lose the improved noise performance of the LP2988.
