CSD19534Q5A: Automotive application requirement of CSD19534Q5A.

Part Number: CSD19534Q5A

Question:  I am using CSD19534Q5A MOSFET for the power supply section of automotive electronics. Can I get the confirmation from the TI that the Fit rates and MTBF data (1.7PPM and 603 Million operational hours @ 125°C) associated with the above-mentioned part are validated if used in automotive applications within the specified thermal and electrical characteristics by the datasheet? Also, is there any alternate of CSD19534Q5A which is AEC-Q qualified with the same specifications and footprint?

  • Hi Shreyas,

Thanks for your interest in TI FETs. The link below will take you to the MTBF/FIT rate information for the CSD19534Q5A. When we run HTRB/HTGB it is run at 150C.  In order to be able to put this on the web with our ICs we derate to 125C to keep the stress temp equal with everything else we qualify.  We use Arhenious modeling which is primarily temperature driven. As you increase your application temp the FIT will increase.  If for example, customer chooses an application of 125C that matches the stress temp (125C) we will have an AF=1 and the FIT becomes 130.1.  If I put in our stress temp of 150C in the same calculation the FIT becomes 39.

This device is not AEC-Q qualified for automotive applications. There is no plan to qualify it and no other alternate FETs.
