400Hz AC to DC Power Supply

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28056, PMP21098

Hello,

We are having a requirement to design 115VAC/400Hz to 48VDC 100W Power Supply.

Please let us know the suitable TI's architecture to design this kind of Power Supply and also let us know the things to consider while designing this type of power supply.

  • Hello Suhas,

I would recommend starting from identifying the topology/ end application, efficiency spec, standby spec, etc. for your power supply.

One possible solution is UCC25640x LLC controller: below is the link to a 170W design for your reference. The PMP21098 reference design uses UCC28056 transition mode PFC controller and UCC25630x LLC controller to provide 12V/10.8A output. You do not require the PFC stage for your application but the LLC stage itself should be good information for you.

Below is the link to three reference designs that are similar to your design spec, it is a good starting point for you.

    Regards,

    Sonal
