LM5104: a formula of HO voltage

Part Number: LM5104

Hello Experts,

Would you answer for a following question?
1. If customer use a circuit like a figure of datasheet p9, how to calculate a HO voltage? HO=HV+IN-Vf is correct?
2. A driver of HO-pin is push pull output (Pch+Nch MOS), correct?

Best Regards,
Fujiwara

  • Hello Fujiwara,

Thank you for supporting the LM5104 with your customer. The HO pin is a floating high side gate drive with the HS pin as the high side return reference.

The HO voltage relative to ground will be HO= VDD-Vf + HV. This assumes the high side switch saturates to HV when turned on.
