BQ25570EVM-206 : BQ25570EVM-206 : VOUT Q&A

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25570

I have a question about VOUT of bq25570.

When the proper VIN_DC voltage value (600mV or more) is applied to this board, and the VBAT and VSTOR conditions are satisfied in the boost charging mode, does the VOUT value output approximately 1.8V?

When I calculate the expected value according to the formula in the data sheet, I know that 1.8V is correct, but I am confused because it does not come out well in the experiment.

  • Sanghyun,

To confirm that the buck converter is working properly, please try the following:

    1.  Connect /EN=BAT using JP2 (to disable the boost converter), VOUT_EN=VSTOR using JP3 and remove JP6

    2.  Apply a power supply higher than 2.0V but less than 5.0V to VSTOR

    3.  VOUT should be 1.8V.

If not, then the buck converter is damaged.
