Please let me know the effect on TPS55340-Q1 output voltage for below conditions.

  1. SYNC Pin is open: 
  2. FB Pin is open:
  3. FREQ Pin is open: 
  4. SS Pin is open: 
  5. COMP Pin is open:

    Hi Amar,

    Thanks for your interest in TPS55340.

    1. Sync could be triggered randomly. You could have some transient on Vout.

    2. Controller will not work. You have Vout~=Vin if it is a boost.

    3. Controller will not work. You have Vout~=Vin if it is a boost.

    4. You have no soft start for the converter startup.

    5. You have no compensation so no stable Vout.

    Please let me know if you have more quesitons.

    Also please let me know the effect on TPS55340-Q1 output voltage for pin shorted to ground conditions.

    1. SYNC Pin shorted to ground: 
    2. FB Pin shorted to ground:
    3. FREQ Pin shorted to ground: 
    4. SS Pin shorted to ground: 
    5. COMP Pin shorted to ground:

    Hi Amar,

    1. It works at the FREQ defined frequency.

    2. COMP is clamped high. It operates at max duty cycle.

    3. Frequency goes very high.

    4. COMP is clamped low. You have Vout~=Vin if it is a boost.

    5. COMP is clamped low. You have Vout~=Vin if it is a boost.
