Hi

My customer applied LM43603-Q1.

QUESTION :

Problems that can occur if PIN 15/16 (PGND) pin is not connected to GND.

Other AGND and PAD pins are tied to GND.

 

References :

The current consumed under the above conditions is increased to twice the normal level.

    KIM Andy,

    PGND should always connect to the board GND. AGND and PAD are not designed to have high current flowing through them. Increased power loss is normal if all the power stage current is forced through AGND and PAD. You must use PGND for normal operation.
