REF3425: max Vdrop @ 2mA ouput current

Part Number: REF3425

Hello team,

what is max voltage drop for REF3425 at 2mA ouput current? Unfortunately the datasheet only specs 100mV at 0mA and 500mV.at 10mA. Our budget is 250mVmax at 2mA.

many thanks

Lutz

  • Hi Lutz,

The datasheet spec is a max worst case and typically tested at production. Since 2mA is not tested a max cannot be guaranteed for 2mA. The typical dropout graph is shown on page 1 and shows a very linear relationship between current and dropout voltage. I am confident that your 0.25V will work for 2mA.

  • Thanks Marco,

I did an extrapolation from the typical plot on page one estimating the same statistical deviation. It suggest we will be around 180mV drop at 2mA. With this we will be fine.

    many thanks

    Lutz
