TPS65919-Q1: Our problem is the output of the TPS65919‘s LDO1 seems unnormal when we make TPS65919 enabled.

Part Number: TPS65919-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDA2E

Our AVM controller uses TPS65919 and TDA2e(17*17),the sequence of the PowerOn is  BAT -> UG5V -> UG3V3-> MCU Reset ->PMIC_HOLD(PMIC is enabled).

Our problem is the output of the TPS65919‘s  LDO1 seems unnormal when we make TPS65919 enabled.

We have measured the input, output and control, all of them worked well.

How can I find the reason for it?

By the way,the measured waveform is as following: UG5V, UG3V3,PMIC_Hold,LDOVRTC,PMIC_VIO,VDD_SD,Reset_out.

UG

The schematic is as  following,

  • Gen Yao,

Hi, welcome to E2E! Thanks for sharing these scope shots and schematic. Can you also probe GPIO1 (NRESWARM)? I am wondering if maybe a reset is being sent to the PMIC?

Also, it looks like the POWERHOLD pin is in the mV range, can you confirm this measurement?

    Thanks,

    Nastasha

  • Nastasha,

Hi,Thanks for your reply, I  measure  it again,

if i don't probe the gpio1, the problem appeare quickly!

if i probe the gpio1, i have never captured unnormal  waveform.

the function of reset PMIC  is reserved.  we don't operate  gpio1 when mcu is running.

  • Hi,

Do you have an option to keep GPIO1 pulled high if not used? It seems like there may be noise on this trace.

    Thanks,

    Nastasha
