Hi,

TPS736-Q1 use adjustable Output,TPS73601QDBVRQ1,it -supply the COMS SENSOR, Input 3.3V,output 1.8V&2.8V, Applications is ADAS camera .

now,output 2.8V cannot be started,when COMS SENSOR is under strong light conditions,>2000 lumen, but,1.8V can be started.

when Light <2000 lumen(COMS sensor),2.8V can be started.

But,Change TPS73601QDBVRQ1 to TLV73328PQDBVRQ1(Fixed Outputs),Light >2000 lumen(COMS sensor),2.8V can be started,

What could be the reason,

Hi Neal,

Can you share the load current for the 2.8V rail? Was the fixed version able to keep the Light>2000 Lumens condition for an extended period of time?

I am wondering you are experiencing a thermal shutdown issue.

Please confirm.

2.8V rail ,current is 50mA-100mA,No high current was tested.

TLV73328PQDBVRQ1 (300mA),TPS73601QDBVRQ1(400mA)

Start-Up?TPS73601 start-up time is 800us,and TLV73328 start-up time is 10us,

Hi Neal,

What you are seeing with the TPS736 is its controlled output slew rate:

The TLV733 is a cap-free LDO and does not have the same startup control as the TPS736. So yes, the TLV733 will start to regulate VOUT much faster than the TPS736.
